Life isn’t easy when you’re surrounded by judgmental people who drain your energy and try to dictate how you feel. They take your kindness for weakness, tell you how they would have handled a situation, and expect you to move the same way. They always have a rebuttal for why they do what they do, yet only see through a one-sided lens. They speak on what you grew up knowing, seeing, or being taught without ever truly being present in your life.
They’ll say you’re “just influenced,” that you project on social media, that the way you think or dream is some kind of fairy tale. They’ll claim you have no real thoughts of your own, no grasp on reality, as if your healing should fit inside their timeline.
What they miss is that some of us are actively unlearning the patterns our parents passed down the toxic habits, the generational pain, the environments that shaped us but don’t have to define us. Nobody has a perfect road map for this messy, beautiful life. And sitting in solitude for a season doesn’t magically make someone healed, enlightened, or mature.
The truth is there’s no finish line. There’s no timestamp on healing. We are forever unlearning, forever evolving, peeling back new layers as we grow. Your path, your pace, and your breakthroughs belong only to you and no one else gets to decide when you’ve arrived.
