MEN OF INFLUENCE: Part 1: Jim Reid

From heartbreak to hope — meet the man behind one of Argyle’s most meaningful restaurants 💛

In 2000, Jim Reid’s son was diagnosed with cancer at just 3 ½ years old. What followed was a journey through pediatric oncology that exposed the crushing emotional and financial weight faced by families. That pain became purpose — and Little Matt’s was born in Houston as both a restaurant and a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children battling cancer.

After moving to Southlake in 2020, Jim knew his work wasn’t finished. In 2024, he opened Little Joe’s Farmstead in Argyle — a farm-to-table restaurant with a mission.

✨ Profits from Little Joe’s help cover housing, chemotherapy, stem cell treatments, and more for families in crisis — turning meals into miracles.

“I’ve been completely renewed in my faith by what I’ve witnessed here — the kids, the families, the community,” Jim shares. “They’ve shown me there is hope.”

This is more than a restaurant. This is a legacy of love.

We all carry a unique light.
When we love, our light is shared.
We only have a short time on earth to share our light and gifts to make an impact.

Sometimes people come into our lives to share their light, their love and inspire.

Yesterday, we celebrated a beautiful light in Kathy O’Keefe that sparked an event that brought 6 Non-Profits together and the women leading them. It became a platform to bring community together, share the heart behind their missions and the expanding need in our area.

As only God can do….in 60 days…he brought the most incredible people together who were willing to use their incredible gifts and resources to bring to life the most beautiful and inspiring moment.

Our community showed up, cried (we all cried), they listened, they cheered and they acted!

It was one of the most powerful and inspiring events I can ever remember.

All because of God! He was in the details, he stirred hearts, brought people who would answer the call and opened our hearts.

It was truly humbling, moving and incredible!

Thank you to Rose, Aimee, Nicole, Marty, McKaley, Tancy, Ashlynn, Kathy, Paige, Samantha, Missy, Abby, Kim, Andrea, Rachel, Leana Lopez, Ceson Hoover, Message Masters, Jorge, Sergio, and Rick - Grateful
for each of you and for sharing your beautiful God Given Gifts that made this day so very special!

Thank you to everyone who attended, we loved having you and so grateful for your spirit and generosity!!

Thank you to our boutiques and models - you knocked it out of the park!!

Thank you to our volunteers, friends and family who came out to help and lend a hand in many ways!

Thank you to our Sponsors/Friends for coming together to support and donate your time, talents and resources!

Thank you to the Marty B's team who served us, went above and beyond (as always) and made it such a flawless event!

What a bright light we experienced yesterday! Such a blessing and so humbled!

Matthew 5:14-16 - Let your light Shine

With much love and gratitude,
