Still shot Saturday and throwback Christmas mantels for inspiration…because my house is a wreck and there’s no Christmas to be seen right now 😂

I love to layer a variety of greenery and then incorporate the color palette I select for that year.

Stay tuned to see what I do this year as soon as my new fireplace is complete …

Still shot Saturday is back….
So many of you have asked for photos of the feature wall I recently finished, so here you go.

I love the depth and warmth adding this picture frame molding from gave this large room.

Once I provided the measurements, they sent me a design to select and then all the trim arrived cut and numbered. The instructions were so easy to follow and all I needed was a level, tape measure and pencil . The pieces came with a heavy duty peel and stick backing .

Finally, I added this beautiful organic paint color Porcini by . It’s a gorgeous earthy brown and I love how it completely warmed up the entire room.

Next project coming up is the fireplace addition that I’m building with 2 friends.

I can’t wait ! Then bring on the Christmas decor because I’ll be diving into it big time.

Still shot Saturday sharing my favorite unexpected home project so far….
Creating this unique jungle playroom for my little “monkeys” was so fun! ( and special)

The last slide shows my vision and I love how it came to life.
First I teamed up with and added this amazing jungle mural wallpaper. The color scheme is so gorgeous and the quality is amazing. It was peel and stick and came numbered for easy install .

Then my bestie said “I want to do this project with you!!” So she flew in from Utah and the minute she put her suitcase down we got started.

Getting just the right gray green paint was a little challenge but I love how soothing and complementary it is to the wallpaper.

Then we turned this cute bed my son made into a little reading/ napping jungle hut, complete with raffia roof, vine lights and cozy pillows.

My little grands love it and have so much fun playing in here…

Still shot Saturday with some views of my gorgeous new Limewash wallpaper from .home .

It added just the cozy, chic vibe I was going for and was so easy to apply. Each sheet was pre-cut and numbered so I knew exactly where to install it. It was also paste to the wall- which is my preferred style of paper. It’s so much easier to work with.

Now I can’t wait for my next wallpaper project… I’m thinking a bathroom!

Still shot Saturday is back as requested…and this song is 👍🏻👊🏻!!!

Not the best pics and definitely “eh” as these are just basically styled spaces for now, but you get the idea!

Yesterday I picked up a paint brush for the first time in many months and can’t wait to share my first painted spot. Now, I have the itch to do more. I promise you’ll start seeing more projects unfold as I’m starting to get the urge to be creative again and use that energy for my own wellbeing.

With that said I’ll be sharing more of how I’m going to make this builder grade home me. So I hope you’ll join me as I heal through my journey creating as I go!!

By popular request… still shot Saturday and some progress pics of the fireplace makeover…( swipe to see the befores and how it was decorated for Christmas)

I had several people ask for progress pictures so here they are and you can get more details below.

This project happened right before the Christmas madness began so I didn’t get a chance to share much of the project. It’s amazing what a statement it makes in this room now.

Those that don’t know, this is a rental home. I did a mock up of the look and got full approval from the homeowners first!

This was a very affordable and easy makeover:
- added vertical shiplap above the mantel
- built a wood mantel with pine boards around the existing mantel ( so it can be removed)
- added peel and stick hexagon tiles over the existing tile ( also removable)
- painted the whole thing Tricorn Black by

*The tile has held up great with the fireplace running and no issues
