I am excited to join the amazing 501(c)6 nonprofit organization, the National Storm Shelter Association to help further their mission to advance storm shelter technology and practices across the United States through social media. You may wonder how a children's book author fits into this role...

Well, I am married to Daniel Dain who is passionate about storm shelters and was mentored by Dr. Ernest Kiesling- "Father of the Storm Shelter"- the gentleman who started this amazing association. I have listened to Daniel in his ICC500 meetings (building code created specifically for wind related events) for years- from my "author office." He and I have written one book together and are in the process of writing another....and guess what it's about......hmmm......

This is my friend Theo. She has been through a horrible experience. 😔 Sadly we will all experience grief at some point. She has taken her tragedy and with God has made beauty out of those ashes. She is helping others navigate their own grief and find hope along the way. If you have a loved one who has just experienced loss, sharing her book may be a great way to say “I love you.”
