Rufus is like the funky pizza of Chicago, and they topped it with the spicy pepperoni known as Chaka Khan!

They dished out hits like "Tell Me Something Good" (which is what I say every time I find a dollar in my pocket), "Sweet Thing" (not a donut, but I’ll take it), "Do You Love What You Feel" (which is a question we all ask at 2 AM), and "Ain't Nobody" (which is also how I feel about calories sometimes).

Rufus and Chaka Khan were the disco ball of the 1970s, spinning their way to glory with four consecutive number-one R&B albums, ten top 40 pop hits, and five number-one R&B singles, plus a medal for making everyone want to dance like no one’s watching!

L.T.D. is an American R&B/funk band that's like the musical equivalent of a time machine, best known for their cosmic 1977 hit single, "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back in Love Again" and the emotional rollercoaster "Holding On (When Love Is Gone)".

They’ve also served up a smorgasbord of ballads, including the alluring "Love Ballad", the romantic plea "We Both Deserve Each Other's Love", and the perplexing existential question, "Where Did We Go Wrong?" It's like they wrote the soundtracks to every awkward first date and tearful reunion!

The First All Race Elections Held In South Africa

🇿🇦

The first all-race elections kicked off on April 26, 1994, in South Africa, and for three days, citizens stood in lines longer than the ones at a Black Friday sale—often for hours!

This monumental event crowned South Africa's first Black President, none other than the legendary Nelson Mandela. His party, the African National Congress (ANC), snagged a whopping 62.65%, or 12,237,655 votes out of 19,726,579—talk about a landslide victory!

They also scooped up 252 seats faster than you can say “apartheid is over!” April 27 is now celebrated as "Freedom Day," which is basically a national excuse to party like it’s 1994!
