January 2019 will mark 40 years in the video production industry. 13 years for Orange Tree Studios. 12 countries and almost every state. I have focused the past year on getting the Tekton Society up and running and getting to know the magical and creative community known as "the hood." The downtown "tribes" represent an eclectic mix of artists, craftsmen, musicians, chefs, historians, antiques geeks, funky stores and a hell of a lot of animal lovers. Time to break out the camera.

So during the dead zone of the calendar; December to February for me, I will script this puppy out and start production in the Spring shooting profiles of some of those aforementioned folks and businesses. Prolly a year long project as these things tend to evolve as they progress. You artisans know what I mean.

As I conceptualize this I know there is one definitive element I cannot escape...

...there will be chickens.

Suddenly finds itself diversifying. A few of my old friends recall that I grew up in construction back in Lubbock. Since I was a Theatre Major it was a slam dunk to work the technical side of things designing and building sets. Over the years I've built all my TV sets, audio production facilities, sound stages, hard cycs and edit suites. So here I am in McKinney Historic District with all these beautiful old homes and the even more beautiful people that live in them. I'm home. Now I'm committed to helping my neighbors repair and maintain these homes. Making lots of new friends. Most importantly a new ministry has arisen out of this by providing free or very low cost services for senior citizens and single moms. But it really doesn't matter who or what you are if I can help I will.

Since the recent theft of my edit gear; computer, drives monitors etc. I'll be taking some time to evaluate the rebuild of the system. All the new media that was destined for upload is now...not here. Fortunately these were my self-produced projects and not clients who paid scads of money for artistic genius. More later.

Hey friends, clients and church buds. All your media that has lived on this page is coming down soon. Time for the overhaul. Everything is backed up and I still have all the project files. Some of these pics and media are YEARS out of date. Ditto for your You Tube and Vimeo stuff. PM or call if you need.
