In South Korea, citizens submit their DNA every 10 years to help reunite families.
But in Africa, the continent with the oldest and most diverse human DNA, we still lack:
🚫 National DNA registries
🚫 Cross-border family tracing systems
🚫 Public ancestry-health infrastructure
Worse yet, less than 2% of DNA used in global medical research comes from Africans.
That means our health is often an afterthought, and our families remain disconnected.
But change is coming.
At African Ancestry Link (AAL), we're launching Africa’s first free mobile DNA testing pilot, starting in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, built for ancestry reconnection, genetic health awareness, and ethical data ownership.
We are now recruiting committee members in each country to help lead this historic effort.
🌍 Available Committees:
💠Heritage, Culture, Community & Archaeology
💠Partnerships, Funding & Compliance
💠Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting
💠Genealogy & Ancestral Research
💠Communications & Community Outreach
💠Compliance & Ethics Oversight
💠Medical/Genetic Counseling
💠Event Coordination & Logistics
💠Technical Support (e.g., data entry, reporting)
We’re looking for:
📌 Cultural leaders
📌 Genealogists
📌 Public health experts
📌 Advocates for African identity and data sovereignty
📌 Community leaders
📌 Historians
📌 Health professionals
📌 Data collectors
📌 Advocates for healing and reconnection
If you believe Africans deserve access to our DNA data, better healthcare, and a complete picture of our origins, this is your chance to participate.
