🤝 First impressions are everything, especially in marketing your business 📣. It reflects who you are while building on your credibility. That's why I always stress to clients that a video should always look and sound its best. One of the tools we use at Kirchem Creative to ensure a high quality, professional product is shooting footage 🎥 in LOG (logarithmic mapping of image data). Simply put, LOG records a very flat image on the camera’s sensor while capturing lots of extra visual data that can be revealed in post-production 🖥️ color grading. This technique is used especially when filming a subject in front of a brighter ☀️background (like the situation shown below), as it retains visual details in the brighter and darker parts of the image. It’s one of the many techniques we incorporate in creating a memorable marketing video 👍.

🎥 Filming in an uncontrolled environment is sometimes unavoidable but there are ways to mitigate factors that you don't want showing up in the final product. At our recent filming for the AT&T Performing Arts Center outside the Winspear Opera House, Kirchem Creative had the tools and strategies to deal with sunlight/flares ☀️ and excessive ambient noise 🚒. While we did pause filming occasionally for ✈️ air traffic, overall, it was manageable. I will be relying on my audio software 🎧 to reduce the nearby traffic noise from Woodall Rodgers Expressway.

Kirchem Creative traveled to ⚜ New Orleans ⚜ to film a training video featuring sonography students at Delgado Community College. The success of this project started long before we left Dallas during pre-production 📝. We collaborated with the client in creating 30+ scenes 🎬 to visually illustrate the importance of their product… a device used to reduce contamination during ultrasound guided injection procedures. 🎬 Kirchem Creative was back at UT Southwestern Medical Center⚕️filming a residency recruiting video for the Department of Psychiatry. Our participants did a great job! It was nice having a large space to film in with lots of aesthetic backgrounds 🎥.

Take a look at some behind-the-scenes footage from a Kirchem Creative corporate video shoot. My gimbal is a great tool on-location as it stabilizes the footage while allowing for quick camera mobility while shooting. This camera angle is then intercut with another angle to seamlessly show a conversation with our two participants.
