Hi, Friend of Ben. My book is picking up sales and getting outstanding reviews. Autism is also picking up -- 1 in 91 children – and families are at a loss as to what to expect. I want to reach more people.
I’m planning a book tour in Dallas, Washington DC, and New York for early 2010 and am writing to ask for your help as a volunteer to get the word out: Don’t Give Up! Saving Ben won the 2008 Mayborn Literary non-Fiction Competition and has received a 5-star rating on Barnes & Nobel and Amazon. For the CNN report, go to http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-236118.
The publicity campaign will build through January, February, and March of 2010 and will peak at Autism Awareness Month in April. The campaign will consist of lectures, book signings, radio/TV interviews, and feature articles and shows. I need help finding, pitching and scheduling these events. I will also need a place to stay in tour cities, which may expand beyond Dallas, DC, and New York as great opportunities arise. Will you help me find an opportunity in your city, pitch the story to media, and schedule events? If you can’t help directly, can you refer me to someone who might be interested in promoting the book? Please join my Saving Ben fan club on Facebook and Don’t Give Up!
