Reel FX is a multi-award winning enterprise of artists, sculptors, animators, technologists, visionaries, creators, and storytellers. In its 25-year history, the creative collective has grown to over 200 staffers across its Hollywood, Dallas, and Montreal locations, with an additional ramp-up of 200 planned for Montreal over the next two years. Reel FX is a diverse creative studio housing three distinct artist-driven units -- Reel FX Animation Studios, ATK PLN, and Flight School – whose projects span across animated films, commercials, virtual and augmented reality experiences, mobile/interactive content, live-venue projects, and theme park rides. The studios has attracted Oscar®, Golden Globe®, Emmy®, Annie, and Clio award-winning talent from around the world.
Reel FX Animation Studios (www.reelfx.com) partners with top creatives in the film industry to produce original theatrical films for global audiences. Upcoming features include the 2020 release of MONSTER ON THE HILL with Paramount Pictures. Previous releases, such as the critically-acclaimed award-winning BOOK OF LIFE with Twentieth Century Fox and FREE BIRDS with Relatively Media, each generated more than $100 million in worldwide box office. Reel FX Animation Studios is also a top producer of feature animation for almost every major studio as a vendor with upcoming projects like Warner Animation Group’s Scooby Doo feature (2020) and STX’s Ugly Dolls (2019).
ATK PLN (www.atkpln.com) is Reel FX’s newly launched creative strategic group for commercial and branded content whose work stands firmly at the intersection of design, animation, and live action. In collaboration with advertising agencies, major film studios, and directly with brands, ATK PLN’s award-winning projects fuse design-driven visuals with feature film finesse to entertain and elevate brand success for its partners.
Flight School (www.flightschoolstudio.com) is an innovative multi-media studio with award-winning expertise in developing, producing, and publishing high-quality, ground breaking VR/AR content. Boasting one of the world’s largest portfolios of completed projects for a loyal base of blue chip clients and Fortune 500 companies, the studio creates rich, engaging, and immersive experiences by telling compelling stories across all emerging technology platforms. Flight School’s recent work includes the newly released ISLAND TIME VR game experience; and its two 2018 Emmy-nominated projects, the short film SON OF JAGUAR for Google 360 and the VR experience MANIFEST 99.
