Eid Mubarak fellow Muslim readers! As you know, Palestinians have shown us time and again what it means to resist and to refuse to be defeated, both physically and in spirit.

One such story of resistance is the Watan Dabke Troupe, which is more than an artistic tale - it’s a symbol of Palestinian roots and hope that refuses to be buried under rubble.

Across the Muslim world, people prepare for the Day of Arafah with peace and prayer. They fast by choice, seeking closeness to God. At sunset, they break their fasts with warm meals, surrounded by safety and light.

But in Gaza, fasting is not only an act of worship, but a forced reality as well. Hunger and starvation has been weaponized and the illegal occupation have been killing Palestinians under the guise of β€œaid distribution”. Read the story of Mohammed Al-Derawi, reported by .alburai

On the 1-year anniversary of October 7th, Arizona Journalist Sam Mena stood in front of the White House and lit his arm on fire for Gaza. He was protesting against the narrative America had created to embelish the events of that day.
Now, Mena has set out to produce a documentary to tell the world the full truth behind the history of Palestine, the illegal occupation by Israel, and the genocide that ensued.
He's telling their story.

Today is the last day to vote early in person before Primary Election Day on July 30th! All of you heard that the war criminal himself addressed most of Congress, as they excessively applauded his lies and propaganda to undermine the plight of the Palestinians. This election will give you the power to exercise your civic duty and make change for the better.

I’ll remind you again why voting is crucial for the future and betterment of society:

1. Policy influence: By voting, we can support candidates and initiatives that align with our values and priorities, shaping the policies that affect our lives and communities all around the world

2. Accountability: Elections hold leaders accountable to their constituents, incentivizing them to act in the public interest or risk losing their position in government.

3. Social progress: Voting has historically been a driver of social change, from civil rights to environmental protection. It allows communities to drive change and address injustices committed by corrupt politicians.

4. Civic engagement: The act of voting encourages broader civic participation and awareness of political issues, creating a more informed and engaged citizenry. We must engage. Silence is not an option

5. Legitimacy of government: High voter turnout strengthens the legitimacy of elected officials and the democratic system as a whole. We must come together in huge numbers in support for politicians who call for the end to genocide.

6. Long-term planning: Voting allows us to influence long-term decisions that will affect future generations, such as infrastructure investments, foreign policy, and healthcare.

7. Collective problem-solving: Through voting, we can harness the collective wisdom of society to address complex challenges facing the nation, such as political hypocrisy and complicity to genocide.

Remember to do your research and due diligence before submitting your ballots and make the right choice!

It’s been more than 9 months and the genocide is still ongoing with no end in sight. It’s time we elected officials who will listen to their constituents and not act on their own self interests or that of a foreign government.

Do you have experience with creative work, project management, or research? Please join us this weekend to start making an impact.
