A classic is something that has proved its value and worth over time. In the world of CCM, there are artists and songs that have stayed the course over decades of air play and today, stand distinguished in the genre. Just as with any other musical tradition—rock n’ roll, jazz, country and others—it’s the classics that have shaped the sound, inspired the current generation and set the standard. In

the CCM world, it’s time for those classics to be heard once again. For the first time, there will be a central location for the songs that defined this genre to be heard…for the artists who paved the way to have a voice once again…and for all the listeners whose lives and hearts have been changed and enriched because of this music to have a place to listen, share their gratitude and engage with like-minded fans around the country and around the world. We don’t take the word Classic lightly. And in the world of Contemporary Christian Music, as with any establishment, we want to honor where we’ve come from and listen, once again, to the music that helped so many of us find our way.

Greeting Friends,
After 14 years of bringing you Classic Christian Radio, it is time to make a change. When we started CCM Classic Radio
there was little happening in the CCM Classic music world. We, amongst a couple of others acted as a catalyst to generate
a new found interest for this amazing music.

Since then, there are many folks that have jumped aboard , bringing radio stations and podcasts. This is awesome and I have been thrilled to see what has and is happening. I have made so many wonderful friends through the years and will always cherish the time we spent together.

The radio itself will be going off the air, but I will continue to bring you content and help direct the flow of important stories and events.
I will most likely ramp up doing artist and band interviews and bringing them to you via CCM Classic's Sound Cloud Account which is accessed via the CCM Classic website; ccmclassic.com.

I am not sure if we will do Christmas music this year. I will talk to Philip and see if he is interested in doing one final season.

“The idea for ‘Make It Well’ actually came from wrestling with the hymn ‘It Is Well’ – which I have sung all my life. It's always during tragic times – funerals and moments like that – and I realized during those difficult moments that I'm kind of lying when I say, ‘it is well with my soul’ because normally it isn’t well with my soul. When you’re in the middle of the struggle, it can be tough to sing that song and really mean it. So I kept thinking if I were to write a song like that, I would change the lyric to ‘make it well.’ So ‘Make It Well’ is for those like me who are still in the middle of the struggle – just trying to get by – and who know they are not going to get through it without the help of the Holy Spirit.” - Bart
