THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF 2025 BANDCAMP
The reason 2025 was a great year in music is because Fans consistently showed up to support artists on Bandcamp. Every record you collected, every recommendation you shared, and every time you showed up for an artist helped independent music grow, flourish, and reach more people.
Bandcamp Fridays were again among the most celebrated days of the year for both fans and artists. They were launched in March 2020 as a way to help artists recover lost income when the pandemic shut down venues and touring, and they haven't stopped since. On these days, Bandcamp waives its share of sales so artists and labels earn more from every purchase. In 2025 alone, fans contributed over $19 million through Bandcamp Fridays. The final Bandcamp Friday of the year took place on December 5, and fans spent more than $3.8 million in direct support of artists. Over the five years of Bandcamp Fridays, fans have used the opportunity to support the musicians they love in a direct and meaningful way, putting more than $154 million into the hands of artists. Bandcamp Fridays will continue in 2026, with more dates and more opportunities for you to support the artists you love.
We also introduced new ways to experience music on Bandcamp.
Bandcamp Playlists arrived to bring the mixtape experience into the digital era. Our playlists are built on ownership, not algorithms. You can create playlists using the music you have purchased on Bandcamp and share them with a public link. Every playlist showcases your tastes, while reflecting active support. Discovery leads to ownership, and ownership helps artists.
We also launched Bandcamp Clubs, a new way to collect music. Each Club brings you a monthly album chosen by a curator, an exclusive artist interview, conversations that go deep, and a community built around shared taste. And, of course, at the center of Clubs is support for artists: the lion's share of revenue goes directly to the musicians, which means your membership has a real impact.
On Bandcamp, artists are always in control of their own destiny, including setting the price for their music. This past year saw "Name your price" as a great touchpoint between musicians and music lovers. Many artists allow fans to pay what they want, and fans showed just how much they cared—which was a lot.
It's time to celebrate a great year in music here on Bandcamp. Our Holiday page is now live with 2025 highlights, standout releases, and picks from across the community.
Your support helps independent artists every single day, and we are excited to share even more with you in 2026.
Thank you for being part of Bandcamp!
