Today I read that the 17 year old kid in California who died from COVID-19 was denied treatment due to not having insurance.

Trade show work is freelance, so there are no benefits, and many workers do not have health insurance.

There are a number of shows that are tentatively moving forward in May in various states. While I'm sure everyone on my roster would love to have work, Aperture Management will not be staffing any of those events or trade shows -- I will not be putting anyone in the position of choosing between risking an illness or making money. I do not care what local officials and associations allow to happen under their watch; I personally choose the wellbeing of the women whose professionalism, skills, and expertise have turned Aperture Management into a successful company over any potential revenue that could be gained during a global pandemic.

I have talked to a number of my staff, and we are working together to figure out ways that Aperture can be of service to you during this time. Within the next week we will begin to roll out options for virtual booth marketing. If you have a virtual show coming up, or if you are planning your summer and fall trade shows, please keep an eye out.
