6ix9ine could face extreme repercussions for allegedly violating his supervised release while awaiting sentencing for previous violations.
On Thursday (Sept. 11), New York judge Paul A. Engelmayer issued a ruling in 6ix9ine's case, ordering him to be arraigned for new infractions.
“The Court, at the parties’ request, adjourns the present deadlines for sentencing submissions in this case, in light of the parties’ expectation that defendant Daniel Hernandez will be arraigned on new specification(s) with respect to additional alleged violation(s) of violations of supervised release,” the ruling reads. “The Court schedules that arraignment for September 25, 2025, at 11 a.m.”
Back in July, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to co***ne and M**A possession as a result of the drugs being discovered during a raid on his Florida home in March. Tekashi was warned by Judge Englemayer during the July hearing that violating between then and his September sentencing would not be a smart decision.
"I want to make sure you understand the consequences—and they will be severe—if you violate a condition between now and sentencing," he told the rapper.
The Brooklyn, N.Y., rapper's legal issues stem from his 2018 arrest along with several members of New York's Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang for racketeering and gun charges, where he received a 24-month sentence followed by five years of supervised release after turning State's evidence in 2019.
6ix9ine was arrested last October for breaking the terms of his supervised release by testing positive for m**h. He spent 30 days in jail for the violation and was on house arrest when his home was raided in March.
It is unclear what terms of his supervised release were allegedly violated.
