đź’«It might be easier than you think with this floor to ceiling IKEA built-ins hack!

✨Bonus it has a built-in window bench!

🔨But here’s the short and sweet- We used Ikea Billy Bookcases and Billy Bookcase Extenders.

🔨Everything was secured to the walls and ceiling with 2x4 L-brackets to studs.

🔨Added extra height, and depth to extend to the ceiling using 2x4s and MDF boards.

🔨Trim, wood filler, caulk, and paint brought everything together!

Around here, I won’t be decorating in the boring beige aesthetic. Instead, you will find me. creating spaces that are full of color, boldness, and a reflection of me. I want a home that has a sense of feeling when you walk into each room.

When I my husband and I purchased our heavily dated builder grade home in 2021, I had no idea how much work would be in store to make my house a home. I had so much to learn! But that didn’t deter me. I dove in headfirst and have gained a wealth of knowledge along the way.

Now, I juggle being a full-time Business Ops Manager, a devoted mom and wife, and a passionate DIYer. Life is undeniably busy, but DIY has become a wonderful creative outlet for me and my entire family.
