Who can relate?

We all have days where we feel so doubtful of ourselves, our abilities, and our talents despite knowing what we’re truly capable of.

Today was one of those days. I wasn’t motivated to do anything when I got off work.

I didn’t work on my scheduled content, I didn’t cook dinner (thankfull for you b1g_p0ppa83 )

I sat and allowed myself to sulk in my feelings but not for too long because I reminded myself “Erin, you’re a bad ass. You’re work in corporate America, you are less than a year away from graduating with your MBA, you have a beautiful and talented daughter and a husband who supports whatever DILUDILU dream you have. All while building a brand on social media.”

My point in all this is, it’s okay to feel all the feelings, all the overwhelming feelings. Just remember why you’re doing it and it’ll all be alright.

The journey starts today….

Week One 📆

Excited to turn our living room into a cozy sanctuary, complete with a stunning built in library wall.

We started Week One by demoing the old arched built ins so it would open the space back up to add the natural light since they were covering windows.

We ripped up all the old laminate flooring. The orange flooring had to go and I was so happy for it to finally be gone.

My husband is the real trooper for this one and installed all the new white oak laminate flooring we purchased from Home Depot. It’s the same flooring we did our upstairs in and we are continuing downstairs.

I started marking the studs on the wall with my Kreg Magnet laser stud finder so we have a starting point for the base of the library wall.

Next up is to build the base for the library wall and determine spacing and positioning. Then I will decide if I want to take on updating the windows to a more modern look.
