Happy 8 Months baby! You’ve been a true rae of light ☀️ in my life since the day I met you and I look forward to all the exciting plans we have coming up, between performing our song at tonight, to church tomorrow, to our upcoming family get togethers and trips 🏔️ in July, and beyond 😍.

Thank you for everything you do and are, both to me ❤️ and to all who come across your path.

Love you so much 😘.

This Saturday, May 30th at ! The 3 Year Anniversary Party will be going from 7pm - Midnight and will feature quesadillas, tacos, tortas, and sandwiches by 🌮 + music by DJ 🎶. Some vegan and gluten free options available too 🌱.

As for the song/music video, it’s a personal passion project I’ve wanted to make for a long time that finally was able to come together through several amazing people in this community. Namely DJ Vinny who made the beat, who rapped on the second verse and added several amazing humming/harmonizing sections and ad libs, who rapped on the third verse and added some phenomenal ad libs, ’s good friend Christine who harmonized and added some of the most fun (and funny 🤣) ad libs ever on it, who harmonized beautifully/wrote some backing lyrics on the final chorus and did the “Chee Hoo” on the front end, all the people who sang the gang vocals with us in the final chorus like Lindsey, , and Lindsey’s girlfriend, and of course for generously not only recording the song for us but helping us mix it and get it ready for its final form that you’ll hear here soon, alongside the music video professionally shot and edited by another kava bar O.G. - a.k.a. . Creative direction, lyrics (1st verse and chorus), and shotlist for song/video by .

As for timeline music video wise on Saturday, we’ll likely be filming some initial things from 6pm on (this is where the bigger roles would come in) and then we’ll film us performing the song alongside DJ Vinny on stage around 9pm and do some fun group shots before or after that.

DM me 📩 ( ) if you’d like more details and to be a part of it.

Can’t wait to celebrate TKB North Dallas’ 3 Year Anniversary this Saturday + film the final scenes for this kava anthem.

Congratulations baby on 7 years of sobriety from alcohol!

This is such a massive accomplishment and I’m so glad to see you in the state you are today as you are a living, breathing, walking inspiration to everyone around you, both in terms of sober living, following Jesus, and just overall being a light in this world.

I am so grateful for these past 7 months together and I look forward to walking alongside you for all the years to come.

Before you know it, we’ll be celebrating your 10 year Soberversary, but let’s enjoy every moment until then to the fullest.

I love you so much and am so proud of you babe. Thank you for everything you do and everything you are. You help me to be a better man and grow as a person on the daily.

Keep up the amazing work 👏🏼.

First Pascha (Orthodox Easter) service at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for both Rachel Travis and I. So beautiful 😍!

I grew up Methodist and fell away from Christianity for more than a decade after my sophomore year of college, exploring Zen Buddhism and going on multiple 7 day silent meditation retreats in addition to meditating daily. I also heavily explored altered states through lucid dreaming practice, cannabis and psychedelics, as well as dabbled in Tibetan Buddhism and the Bön Tradition of sleep yoga. Lastly I listened to tons of Alan Watts, Terence McKenna, and tons of other spiritual and open-minded thinkers that all contributed to my New Age thought of taking pieces of all kinds of different traditions from Hinduism to Buddhism to Christianity and picking and choosing what made sense to me from each and what didn’t and keeping only what I liked.

During the pandemic and then the election, both of which were super divisive and stressful times in our country, I started to become very anxious about the state of the world and my mix and match patchwork of different frames of thought that were convenient for me but didn’t offer an actual relationship with my Creator was finally just not enough to quell the anxiety/stress in my soul.

Slowly I felt myself getting called back to Christianity through all kinds of coincidences, including my mom looking through one of my old baby books while I was at her house which had a note from my grandpa I was super close to who unfortunately just passed away (God rest his soul) that said essentially (referencing 9/11 when it happened) - “Michael, I’m very worried about the world you and your sister are growing up into. Please, please, whatever you do, just don’t stop believing in God.”

I read this at the perfect time because so many stones had already unturned that were moving me in that direction and that was just the final confirmation I needed. Since then (~1.5 years or so ago) I started going to church with grandparents, attending my church I went to growing up, attending friend’s churches, and more, and finally the Eastern Orthodox Church. More on this to come.

Until then, Christos Anesti (Christ is Risen) ☦️
