Veteran actor Nana Patekar has passed away at the age of 75 after suffering a severe cardiac arrest at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa, on Thursday morning. According to reports, he was found unconscious and was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors attempted resuscitation for around 45 minutes but could not revive him.

Patekar, one of Indian cinema’s most distinctive performers, built a celebrated career across Hindi and Marathi films, known for his intense screen presence and powerful performances. His work earned him multiple National Film Awards and the Padma Shri, among other honours.

His sudden demise has sent shockwaves through the film industry, with fans and colleagues mourning the loss of an actor whose performances left a lasting mark on Indian cinema. Further details regarding his last rites and official statements from the family are awaited.
