This isnโ€™t just any B-52.

B-52D Stratofortress 55-0094, on display at the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita, was built by Boeing right here in Wichita and entered USAF service in 1957. During its career, it served with 15 units, saw 31 assignments, deployed to Southeast Asia 11 times, and participated in Operation Arc Light during the Vietnam War.

A true Cold War warrior and a piece of aviation history. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Ever wonder how big the belly of the beast is? ๐Ÿ‘€

Or should I say the bomb bay, where the B-52 Stratofortress carries its weapons.

For perspective, thatโ€™s me standing inside it. Photos donโ€™t quite capture the scale, but being inside the bomb bay of one of the most legendary bombers ever built gives you a whole new appreciation for the aircraft.

The B-52 has been flying for more than 70 years and remains a key part of Americaโ€™s long-range strike capability. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโœˆ๏ธ
