I dream of riding the Tangled ride at DisneySea, 🎢 of seeing those lanterns float during “At Last I See the Light.” 🏮My kiddo recorded this and thought of me. She knows. And that knowing, that connection across the miles, reminds me why we travel—not just to see the world, but to share it with the people who matter most. The dreams we hold. The magic we seek. Some people drive by new restaurants.

I drive by new resorts. 😆 Especially when in my own backyard!

Universal’s newest family resort doesn’t open until July 1st, but I was already curious to see how everything is coming together.

One of the things I love most about being a travel advisor is getting excited about destinations before my clients ever arrive. Whether it’s a brand-new resort, a hidden gem, or a destination I’ve visited countless times, I’m always looking at it through the lens of: “Who would love this?”

Because the best vacation isn’t necessarily the newest, most expensive, or most popular option.

It’s the one that’s the right fit for your family.

And honestly? I can’t wait to see families start making memories here. ✨

A rainy Texas day has me mentally back in the Costa Rican cloud forest…

There are some travel experiences that don’t just feel like a place — they feel like another world entirely.

Treetopia in Costa Rica was one of those moments. Mist in the trees, suspension bridges disappearing into the clouds, and that deep green kind of magic you can’t fully explain until you’re standing inside it.

And then the cloud forest really showed off… we saw a three-wattled bellbird, which is incredibly special because they are much more commonly heard than seen. We also heard a resplendent quetzal and caught it flying off — another rare little gift from the forest.

So today, while Texas is rainy and gray, I’m dreaming of this exact kind of immersive, soul-reset travel.

Costa Rica, you are something else. 🌿

Mother’s Day always feels a little layered for me.

I know so many people celebrating beautiful relationships today, and I also know many quietly navigating grief, distance, loss, estrangement, infertility, complicated family dynamics, or just the weight of what this day can bring.

The older I get, the more I think motherhood isn’t really about perfect pictures or curated moments. It’s in the daily showing up. The invisible labor. The worrying. The sacrifices. The joy. The exhaustion. The deep love.

I’m incredibly thankful to be a mother, thankful for the women in my life, and thankful I still get time with my grandmother. I don’t take that lightly. This photo of my daughter and grandmother walking together is so special.

And to anyone finding today hard in some way… you are absolutely not alone in that.

Not all who wander are lost… but I fully plan to be in Africa. 🌍✨

Give me the golden sunsets, the wild landscapes, the vibrant markets, the once-in-a-lifetime moments that don’t fit neatly into an itinerary. Africa has been sitting high on my list for a reason — not just for the destinations, but for the feeling of being completely immersed in a place that changes you.

From luxury safari lodges to hidden cultural gems, this is the kind of travel that stays with you long after you unpack. And honestly? I’m ready to get a little lost.
