To the legal system, he is Exhibit B in a felony animal cruelty case. He is a collection of injuries, a piece of evidence. But to us, he is a brave little soul who has survived the unthinkable. We will be his voice in court, but more importantly, we will be his soft place to land when the trial is over. His name is not Exhibit B. His name is Oliver.

This isn't a case of malice, but of quiet tragedy. His owner loves him dearly but is too infirm to groom him or take him to a vet. So he sits, his coat getting tighter and more painful each day. We're stepping in with a mobile grooming and vet team to help both the owner and the cat, so they can stay together, happy and healthy. Sometimes rescue means helping the family stay whole.

He was in the car when it happened. He watched his entire world come to a violent end. Now he's here, the last living witness, guarding the memory of his family in the wreckage. We're getting him the medical care he needs, but the real healing will be a much longer road. He's a survivor in every sense of the word.
