The heartbreaking murder of wife, mother, and business owner Nyasam Khor Chagi has sparked important conversations about femicide within the South Sudanese community.

It is devastating to witness our women lose their lives at the hands of those who were meant to love, value, and protect them. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, loved ones, and everyone affected by this tragedy.

As a community, we must continue having honest, healthy, and solution-focused conversations that challenge harmful norms, promote accountability, and prioritize the safety and dignity of women.

As Ladies of Sosa, we are working on an important episode exploring femicide and gender based violence through the lens of experts and advocates who can provide education, context, and resources to help us better understand this crisis and discuss meaningful paths forward.

Our hope is that these conversations inspire awareness, action, and lasting change. 🤎🇸🇸
