Most people say they would do anything for their pets, but Randy Etter actually proved it. When his beloved dog, Gemini, started vomiting and losing weight rapidly, Randy spent days driving from vet to vet trying to find answers, even losing his job in the process because he refused to stop searching for help.
When he finally got the diagnosis—a life-threatening intestinal blockage caused by a plastic bottle top—the surgery price tag was a staggering $4,500. With no other options, Randy didn't hesitate. He posted his prized car for sale on Facebook, writing, "I don't care if it takes every dime... my dog is my best friend."
Thankfully, the internet refused to let him fight alone. His heartbreaking post went viral, and the S.O.A.R. Initiative stepped in to cover the surgery costs through donations. Randy got to keep his car, but more importantly, he got to keep his best friend.
