All proceeds go towards blessing people who work in the entertainment industry - from parking lot attendants to box office employees to musicians - we help in times of need. In 1977, after hearing about the popular Tony Awards, a Fort Worth disc jockey named Terry Beene started a joke about the "Terry Awards". Soon after that, people began calling about ticket availability and Terry Beene was forc

ed to put on a real show. Terry is a bright, sensitive, and energetic man with a mind that ticks continuously with new
ideas. The Terry Awards have always had something to do with the music business and he was excited when the Terry Music Award's show finally became a reality. Since Terry had spent so many unappreciated and unrecognized years as a club musician himself, he combined his love for Country music and his past as a night club musician into the idea for an awards show, that went from an on-air gag to a serious show of recognition. It has been held at such places as Billy Bob’s Texas and Casa Manana in Fort Worth. In 2014, we marked the 31st year of The Terry Awards and the very first year of the Official Branson Terry Music Awards. This year's show will mark the 45th year since it's inception. The Branson Terry Music Awards is now a 501C3 and continues to support the community with scholarships, hardships and more. If you would like to support the Branson Terry Awards just give us a call!
