You cannot inspire change while staying unchanged.

We are quick to tell other people what they need to change, but how often do we allow God to expose what needs to change in us?

You can’t preach obedience while living in disobedience.
You can’t call people to repentance while refusing to repent.
You can’t tell others to surrender while you’re still fighting God for control.

Jesus said, “First cast out the beam out of thine own eye.” (Matthew 7:5)

God never called us to simply talk about transformation. He called us to live it.

That means letting Him renew your mind, correct your behavior, expose your pride, change your desires, strengthen your obedience, and remove anything that keeps you from becoming more like Christ.

Stop demanding change from everyone around you while resisting the change God is trying to make within you.

If you want your life to inspire others, let them see what happens when someone truly surrenders to Jesus.

Transformation starts with you.

WEEKLY REFLECTION

“What does it mean to live from your identity as God’s child?”

Too many of us allow the world, our past, our failures, our circumstances, and even other people to tell us who we are. But if you belong to Christ, your identity has already been established by God. Before Jesus performed a miracle, preached a sermon, or began His public ministry, the Father said:

“Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Mark 1:11)

Think about that.

Identity came before ministry.
Sonship came before service.

We don't obey God to earn His love. We obey because we love Him and belong to Him. We don't serve to prove our worth. We don't need the world's approval to know who we are. We don't allow our past to define what God has made new.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.” (John 1:12)

The question isn't just, “What am I doing for God?”

Ask yourself:

“Does the way I live show that I know whose child I am?”

Because when you truly know who you are in Christ, it changes how you think, how you walk, how you respond, and how you obey.

Stop living for an identity the world gives you.
Start living from the identity God has already given you.

Sonship before service.
Identity before assignment.
Relationship before recognition.

WHAT WOULD YOU TRADE YOUR FAITH FOR?

Money?
Success?
Comfort?
Relationships?
Acceptance?
The approval of this world?

Jesus asked:

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)

That question should hit every one of us.

Esau traded his birthright for a meal.
Judas traded Jesus for thirty pieces of silver.
Demas loved this present world and walked away.

The enemy doesn’t always have to convince you to stop believing in God. Sometimes he just needs to find something you’re willing to choose over Him.

Following Christ will cost you something. It may cost comfort. Relationships. Opportunities. Old habits. Your reputation. Your own desires.

But there is nothing this world can offer that is worth trading your faith for.

So examine yourself:

What has the world placed in front of you that could tempt you to compromise your walk with Christ?

Because at some point, faith has to become more than what we say we believe.

It has to become what we refuse to trade.

Jesus is worth more than anything this world could ever offer.
