This is one of my favorite paintings. We were headed to Destin, Florida when I spied with my big eyes a mom-pop thrift store.

{Never mind the exit lane we struggled to get to, the snarling traffic and time spent going North when we should have been going South.}

Welp..I found this painting and had to have it. They didn’t take cards so I had to hustle cash from hubby.

Joe and I purchased a few things and headed South again.

I sat still as a mouse but my brain was in 10th gear. I HAD LEFT MY PAINTING.

Joe said I had to keep it until death. I said, “Isn’t she a beaut?”

This is the $65 mini stove that we purchased at Lowe’s Outlet for our tiny home. Although the box was dented, she was in pristine condition…..for a very short time.

My husband is too cheap to pay delivery fees so, of course, we put it in my Dodge Caravan and rolled on home.

During the unloading, {in my husband’s words}, the little stove, “got away from him.” She tumbled off the dolly, rolled down the hill, and crashed into the ditch.

Less than four hours after purchasing..she was bent-dent-scratched-and beat up. The lower drawer wouldn’t open, the handle just hangs, and the door will not close all the way.

But…as evidenced in the photo, she will cook.
