Joe and I are soul mates. We enjoy reading together, thrifting together, attending NASCAR races, watching movies, and just being quiet together.

But nothing, and I do mean nothing is better than worshipping Jesus together. That’s some good stuff right there. Thank you, Lord.

Saturday. Up at 6:30 a.m. Attending granddaughter’s mini-midget football game. Cheering her on as she cheers.

It is hot. My wig is slipping. The bench is hard. The stadium is packed and I am anxious in crowds. We lose, again.

I look into her little eyes.
Sweat is streaming down her face, neck, and back. She is giving it all she has.

My word for today is “thankful.” God is so good to this Oakville chick.
