🇺🇸💙 LABOR DAY MONDAY 💙🇺🇸
Today, we honor the people who work.
The early risers.
The night-shift workers.
The teachers, caregivers, first responders, healthcare workers, business owners, factory workers, office workers, tradespeople, drivers, restaurant workers, farmers, and everyone whose hands help keep families and communities moving.
We also remember those whose work often goes unnoticed:
The parent caring for a home.
The person caring for an aging loved one.
The volunteer serving without a paycheck.
The person searching for work.
The business owner wondering whether all this effort will eventually pay off.
And the person who is simply tired.
Today is a good day to remember something:
Your work has value—but your value is not determined by your work. 💙
You are more than your productivity.
More than your job title.
More than your paycheck.
More than your accomplishments.
More than the number of things you crossed off your list this week.
📖 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
— Colossians 3:23
God can use the work of our hands.
But He never asked us to prove our worth by exhausting ourselves.
There is a time to work faithfully.
And there is also a time to rest faithfully. 🙏
So on this Labor Day, thank God for the ability to work, honor those whose labor makes a difference in your life, and give yourself permission to slow down.
The work will still be there tomorrow.
Today, notice the people around you.
Laugh.
Eat something good.
Rest.
Thank God for another day.
Because sometimes one of the most faithful things you can do is stop working long enough to remember Who provided the strength to work in the first place. 💙
