Good afternoon, Family!
Part of getting to know people better is listening to them, actually hearing what they are saying. But how often are others distracted when we talk to them? They glance at their cell phones or stare at the TV. They search the room looking for someone else “more interesting” to talk to. When we have a conversation with someone, we want them to listen to us. To comprehend what we say, not just agree with us or look for another person to talk to.
Have you ever thought God was too busy to hear you, to listen to you? He’s not. God doesn’t become distracted by someone or something else. No, He hears each word you say. Psalm 116:1 says, “[God] has heard my voice and my supplications.” God listens to you.
Are you going thru a difficult situation—the loss of a loved one (ugh) a medical diagnosis, a broken relationship? God knows what you are experiencing and wants to help you. God will meet you right where you are and exactly AS you are. You don’t have to pretend to be someone else for God to hear you. Remember, He knows you better than annnnyone else does, and He wants to help you. It’s hard to believe that God will not give up on you, but God’s Word, the Bible, is full of ways He promises to help you, I know bcuz He has helped me so many times. Trust me.
Not only does God know more about you than anyone else does, but He also loves you far more than anyone else could. You might be thinking, “He knows everything about me, and He still loves me?” Hahaha, yes. Most human love is conditional and limited. When you fail to meet the conditions, the “love” is withdrawn. Bye, see ya! But unlike human love, God’s love has no conditions and no limits. No one is too evil or too far away for God’s love. God has always loved you, and He will never stop loving you. Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Everything about God is perfect, but unlike Him all of us do things wrong. We all sin. Because God loves us, He wants to forgive us. Because He is holy and just, He must deal with our sin. God loves us so much that He made a way to rescue us from sin. He sent His Son, Jesus, to earth, and Jesus’ mission was to rescue us! Jesus rescued all of us from sin by living a perfect life, dying on the cross and rising again on the third day. He took the punishment for our sin, so we could spend eternity with God. God’s loving rescue plan is explained in the Bible. What a Book, I fall in love with Him more and more each day. I know a lot of people find it so hard to read or just don't understand it, but pick it up, the one that may have dust on it or for those of you who are IN the Word, share with people that are EAGER to learn snd want to know Him BETTER, just like me! :) Lots of Love, Fam!!
