Review:
Oh my gods! This was just too good. I need to get the rest of the series now because Iโm hooked!
Orpheus, oh my gods. He was so endearing and kind and sweet, and to see people calling him pathetic. He is not pathetic, not in the least. He has been through so much. Years, absolute YEARS of watching everyone one come and go in a sense, either theyโre taken, they ๐, or he eats them. He just wanted someone to be there, and not just be there. But want to be there. Itโs not pathetic, itโs painful and heartbreaking how many heโs lost before finally finding someone who will stay with him.
And Rena, her life was heartbreaking too. Watching or really listening to her family be eaten alive by demons, being shunned, treated like a disease, all her life before being forced out of the village all together. I canโt image how hard it was, and then she met Orpheus. And together they made something strangely beautiful, and honestly I was a bit upset with her manipulating him a time or two, but I donโt think she realized what she was actually doing being she didnโt have anyone to teach her anything.
This was so good, and kind of strange, but if you like strange and good then this is definitely for you.
