👉 A powerful cold front sweeps through our region Wednesday into Wednesday night bringing slight chances for snow showers, but the main story will be wind chill values PLUMMETING into the -10s and -20s in the QCA Thursday morning!

👉 Snow has moved into the QCA this afternoon causing reduced visibility and slippery roads and highways, especially in rural areas. Expect snow showers to persist thru early evening. Total snow accumulation up to 1 to 3 inches possible.

👉 Generally expecting light to moderate snow to spread across the QCA between 11am and 1pm before beginning to taper off from west to east between 6pm and 8pm, peaking around 1pm to 6pm.

👉 The greatest risk area for snow accumulation up to 4" or more is along and south of a line stretching from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Dixon, Illinois.

❄️ ACCUMULATING SNOW MONDAY ❄️

👉 A quick round of fluffy accumulating snow remains likely from west to east Monday afternoon into the early evening hours. Total snow accumulation of 1 to 4 inches is expected, especially along the I-74, I-80 and Highway 34 corridors in Illinois.

👉 Generally expecting light to moderate snow to spread across the QCA from the southwest between 11am and 1pm before beginning to taper off from west to east between 6pm and 8pm, peaking around 1pm to 6pm.

👉 The greatest risk area for snow accumulation up to 4 inches or more will be along and south of a line stretching from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Dixon, Illinois.

🕛 NOON: Snow moves in from our southwest around midday. Light snow accumulation is possible. Light breeze with wind chill values around 20 degrees.

🕕 6PM: Widespread light to moderate snow continues during evening rush hour traffic. Around 1 to 3 inches of accumulated snow.

🕛 MIDNIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold. Snow clears to our east. Light breeze with wind chill values in the 10s. Total snow accumulation up to 2 inches or more expected.

🥶 Wind chill values dip into the single-digits early Tuesday morning.

👉 Accumulating snow is likely areawide Monday into Monday night and will impact evening rush hour traffic. Total snow accumulation up to 2" or more is expected.

👉 Generally expecting snow to move in from our southwest around midday Monday, persisting through the afternoon and early evening hours. Snow should taper off from west to east around 6pm to Midnight.

👉 Nearly the entire area should receive up to 1 to 3 inches with isolated higher amounts up to 4 to 6 inches not ruled out along and east of MS river.

New snow accumulation up to one inch or more possible.
