Fashion and Design Society at UC Davis Students in DES 179 Signature Collection spend winter quarter designing and producing one of a kind collections that highlight their talent and skills.

The Fashion and Design Society (FADS) at UC Davis is a student-run organization created to support the UC Davis Design program’s fashion capstone class, DES 179 Signature Collection. Some of the tasks you would help manage are setting up decor, assisting backstage, controlling the crowd, helping with the ticket booth, along with cleaning up. This will be the perfect experience to see what running a fashion show is like backstage! We are currently looking for volunteers who are interested in makeup and hairstyling to help at our Picnic Day Fashion Show! This would be a great opportunity to gain experience in runway/ editorial hair and makeup. This is open to everyone, you don’t need to be a UCD student!! You must be available April 12th at 8am + food and refreshments will be provided😋interest form must be filled out by March 19th by 11:59pm♥️

This year we’re stepping “𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀” where fashion meets fantasy in a whimsical reimagining of Alice in Wonderland. ♥️🥀⏱️🐇♠️

Featuring 14 student designers’ from DES 179 Signature Collection, plus enchanting single garments made by our cohort’s and other talented student designers, this show is a fairytale come to life.

Have you ever thought of making a zine? 📖Play an irl dress up game? 👙Or just feeling crafty? 💕Join us this Tuesday with FADS magazine & , another student run magazine organization!💋⭐️ to create a zine with us on March 4, at 7 pm! Stay tuned for both of our annual magazines to be released this spring 🌸!!

We’ll have templates, glue, scissors and various cut outs of clothes to glue on your avatar and create the outfit of your dreams

A demo will be given by our co-editors Seo & Mileyna to show you how to put together your zine and we encourage our members to bring any personal stationaries as well 💋! So excited to see all our members showing their creativity and what outfits you’ll create 💕⭐️👛!

Your work does not have to be fully finished at the moment but please submit the form by March 15th at 11:59pm. This is open to all work both personal and school projects, it does not need to pertain to fashion and is open to graphic design, arts, painting, furniture design, and etc!

No digital work is accepted and must be a physical/printable piece!

This Tuesday we will be hosting a DIY distressing workshop!✂️🪢🎽 We will be having multiple stations such as, slitweaving, grommets, scissors, and dremel!! We ask that you bring your own clothing pieces so that you may alter them as you please🥰🩷

(Note: if you will be participating in using the dremel PLEASE bring a mask and safety goggles 🥽 !!)
