In short: The Dawson Springs Community Center.
The annual event is a luncheon and street fair event hosted by the Dawson Springs Community Center.
The Community Center is a non-profit organization, independent of any municipality or city-governed entity. The Community Center is overseen and managed by a board of volunteers, most of whom you will see each year actively participating in the organization of the BBQ event.
The BBQ is our main fundraiser for the year. The revenue from BBQ sales and street fair booth rental is what helps us set our yearly budget for the maintenance and upkeep of the Community Center building.
But really, the entire community benefits from the Annual BBQ. It’s a chance for us to gather and celebrate our traditions. It’s a fantastic opportunity for your church, athletic group, or club to host your own fundraising booth at the street fair. It’s a great time to volunteer and spend the weekend with top-notch folks who all love and appreciate Dawson Springs for being “a very special place”.
