Looking for something to challenge your creativity? Accordion journals might be the answer. I’m consistently looking for ways to push my thinking when I’m painting. And while sketchbooks and journals are amazing tools, sometimes I get stuck when I turn the page. But what if the page was huge and could tell a story? Enter accordion journals. This journal has my heart and I already know what I’m going to paint! The paper is a smooth texture and quite thick. I’ll report back if both sides are paintable, soon. But for now, I have a big story about to unfold.

Learning to watercolor? Then we need the right supplies to teach us great habbits without breaking the bank. This paper performs exactly like it should. No pilling, no huge buckling, takes lots of water, leaves behind beautiful pigment. What else could you ask for?! Oh yeh! And it comes in 9x12 which means it’s even MORE cost effective for the quality because you can cut it down to whatever size you want. And you get two packs which means you could technically give one away as a gift! Take the guesswork out of paper and don’t spend all of your money on a few pages. Art Supply has you covered to get going! Let’s paint without going broke friends!

Did you run into some bad supplies that you thought for sure would change your watercolor game? Me too. All of the time. BUT we don’t have to throw them out. Let’s just repurpose them. Watercolor can be an expensive hobby and when we buy something we want to love it. Let’s just love it in a different capacity. Check out my playlist for more watercolor tips.

We love an easy painting idea over here! The hardest thing about this guy is letting him dry. And honestly with only one paint color working here, it’s even easier than you realize! And the acrylic pens and marker!? Perfect. I bet you already know the person who’ll receive this one.

Do you NEED it? Probably not. Is it fun?! YES. Again this little swatch diary surprises me. I had enough time to clean up my little swatch so I could keep all of the rectangles rectangly 😉.

If you hate cutting paper over and over again for watercolor projects, these might be the ticket. They’ve been out of stock for a bit and now they’re back in! I love painting miniatures and tiny things and these help me stay inspired because they’re ready-to-go. And the paper is the same great quality as the larger block that sells. Think of all the fun little notes you could send to people on these!
