I liked this one because it was about capturing a specific feeling.

For this Airline Pilot, the goal wasn’t “just a headshot.” I wanted it to feel calm, capable, and trustworthy, the kind of portrait that matches the responsibility carried by his profession.

A comfortable living room, good light, and a little direction can completely shape the story a portrait tells.

This one came out exactly right.

I know it's not the most popular opinion online anymore, but I still believe boys should be raised to be strong, capable, and maybe even a little rough around the edges.

Let them climb trees, get muddy, come home with burrs in their hair and a frog in their pocket. They're not misbehaving-they're learning what they're made of.

These two were in their element that day. The world could use more of that kind of boyhood.

What a pleasure taking photos for this family.
A perfect autumn day in Ohio with a lovely mom and her boys.

This was last week near the dam in Englewood — maybe my new favorite place to shoot.

The leaves are starting to fade now, but the truth is, great photos have more to do with the person than the background.

A good photographer can prove that.
