🚀 “They came out of nowhere!”

Not quite.

We love to celebrate the moment tech companies go big…
But let’s not forget the years of work behind the so-called “overnight success.”

Take a look:
🍎 Apple — Founded in 1976.
Nearly went bankrupt in the ’90s before the iPod (2001) and iPhone (2007) changed the world.

💻 Microsoft — Started in 1975.
Didn’t ship Windows until 1985. It took decades to become a household name.

📦 Amazon — Launched in 1994.
Spent years as “just an online bookstore” before becoming the global giant we know.

🧠 OpenAI — Founded in 2015.
ChatGPT didn’t drop until 2022. That “overnight” boom came after 7 years of R&D, training, failure, and iteration.

What people call a “breakout” is usually the first time the world is paying attention— Not the first time the founders showed up.

So if you’re still in the build phase...
Keep going.

You’re not behind—you’re just underground.

🔔 Professional Update 🔔

As I reflect on the past year, I’m incredibly grateful for the journey and the continued opportunity to grow as a leader across multiple organizations.

From building digital experiences at ViviScape, to launching RV Shop Manager to support RV repair shops across the country, to scaling Cogent Cloud as a smarter way to manage transport and logistics, and now partnering with U.S. Diabetes Care to help make prevention and education more accessible—each venture has taught me something new about innovation, impact, relationships, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Every day, I get the privilege to collaborate with brilliant minds across Manufacturing, Transportation, Health Care, and Research & Development. The challenges are diverse, but so are the rewards. Whether it’s streamlining operations or building better systems to serve people—I’m here for it all.

Leadership isn’t a title—it’s a commitment to growth, service, and constantly learning from those around you. And I’m grateful to every teammate, partner, and visionary I’ve had the honor of working with.

☝️Business is Hard

Starting a business is like taking action towards your dreams. I’ll never forget what a former colleague once told me when I decided to take the leap and go all in on my entrepreneurial journey. He said: “Art, no one will care as much about your business as you will.”

He was 100% correct. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that no one cares as much about your dreams as you do, but others can help shape them to fit the real world. One of the most powerful things is when people come together with a common goal and unite to bring their vision to reality. The power of many will always be greater than that of one.

This is what makes business hard—offering something that adds value to others and bringing people together to deliver that value. Yet, value is always perceived differently, making it a constant challenge.

I tell young entrepreneurs to never stop dreaming, but always keep your mind open to what the world demands from you. Entrepreneurship is not a race to the top; it’s a journey toward your destiny. Embrace the challenges, learn from the people around you, and let your vision evolve.
