We had an exciting summer in Europe this year. We led our first group travel experience walking the Camino de Santiago from Samos to Santiago. We made sure we stayed in a variety of accommodations and had a nice variety of food experiences. In this video you will see how we encouraged a picnic lunch, enjoyed pizza for dinner, and stayed in one of their nicest hotels.

Fatima was a place none of us had been to before. It is a place of a modern miracle and a story worth googling.

The photos here include the old church, the new church, some statues in the village, and the candlelight procession we attended in the evening.

We only were able to spend a day in Porto but it was a good day! We saw the highlights near the water, tasted cod with queso, sipped on port, took the most amazing sunset cruise, and ate seafood late into the evening. Today we are off to Fatima!

As we say goodbye to our group and hello to a few days of vacation, I have to share a bit of exciting news. During the final days of our group trip, we hit one million views on YouTube. It was quite special for us because we started our channel on the Camino. Our expectations for YouTube, and all social media, has always been quite low. We are just out here, taking adventures and sharing them with you. We thank you so much for being a part of our journey!

⭐️ Final moments of joy ⭐️
Last night was our final day with our group. We ended our trip at Finisterre (translated as “the end of the Earth). It’s a great place for sitting on the beach or splashing in the Atlantic for one final releasing of your burdens.

Our prayer is everyone had a great time. We pray they made new friends, found what they were searching for, released what they needed to, and are prepared to go back to reality with new intentions.

What an amazing experience to walk with all of these different people. I love the connections that have been made. I love watching them grow. I love how different everyone is but yet they all have a connection with the Camino now. Today has been a very special day.

⭐️ Endings, Beginnings, and Letting Go ⭐️

The Camino is more than just a long walk through the countryside of Spain. It is about creating friendships, letting go of things that no longer serve you, creating new beginnings going forward.

It was exciting to watch not just the people in our group, but all the pilgrims enter Santiago. They all were filled with so much anticipation and excitement.

The journey with our group isn’t over yet. We have a fun couple of days in store for them.

⭐️ The day before the last day ⭐️

Today the group walk just over 11 miles. Brian and I didn’t walk with the group because we had to go ahead and deal with arrangements in town. I definitely didn’t like it; we missed their energy today. It was great to have some time for reflection on how things are going with our group, what we will do different next time, and what’s really worked well. But we are looking forward to tomorrow.

I can’t believe the end of the walking part of the trip is coming to an end. I’m glad we have a few more days with our group. They will be enjoying time in Santiago, Finisterre, and then many have plans for more adventures afterwards.

This group has a special bond. I hope it will never end. I look forward to hearing their reflections in the coming days, even in the coming weeks.
