🫶OJ2H update: Sticks & bricks life has been busy. 💼The kiddos went back to work along with Joseph and I. It’s been hard juggling everything & we’ve buried ourselves into so many projects I cannot count. 🐄 From fixing up this new house to getting permanent housing for the animals it’s been A LOT! Soon we get cattle and hopefully I can talk Joseph into getting chickens. 🐓 Life is good but we do miss our nomadic lifestyle and community. 🩷Our family and friends here have been nothing short of amazing and we are incredibly blessed. We just need a moment to breathe and keep enough momentum to finish what we’ve started.

Any workampers available? 😂 Yall… we have so much to do and all I want is to take a trip to Key West! I can offer water, 15 amp and no sewer 😂 In all seriousness, I’m kidding… kinda. Getting this place into shape while adding livestock to our farm is outta this world energy taxing! We’re hoping to add a workamping spot one of these days to make things a little smoother. How do you guys do this?!?! Where’s my YOLO life that we just gave up?!?!

It’s been a dew weeks since we welcomed Melissa, Pepper & Lucky 🍀 At first, Pepper was the sweetest and the other 2 were standoff ish. Melissa would let us touch her every so often but not for too long. Lucky wouldn’t let us get near him for very long, let alone touch him at all. Now, Pepper loves for me to cuddle him and loves to spend time with us. He’s like a toddler! Melissa doesn’t want touched too much, just every now and then. Lucky has made the biggest change! He pretends he doesn’t want loved but gets really close to us and hangs out until we love on him. All 3 have adapted so well and they have been working on getting the smallest pasture grazed down!

In 2 weeks, we moved into our homestead and hunkered down with 2 Anatolian shepherds, 3 goats, 6 ducks, 4 turkeys and 2 donkeys. Now to find a couple of cows, build a coop and snag some chickens and finally (next spring) prep for emus! Then we’ll be complete! What are we missing?
God is so good!
