I walked into a cute little shop in Deland, FL this past weekend and immediately said,
“Oh my gosh, I love these cards!”

The woman standing nearby smiled and said…�“Thank you!”

Turns out — she was the creator. 🥹

As we talked, she shared that a few years ago she experienced a tremendous amount of loss in a very short time. 💔

And in the middle of that grief… she realized something:�👉 She had to do something to help herself survive and find joy in life.

So she started creating. 🎨

I always say…�Some of the funniest, most light-filled people you’ll meet are often the ones who have walked through the deepest pain.

Because here’s the truth:�✨ Reducing worries and pain doesn’t automatically create happiness.�✨ Happiness is something we have to actively build.

💜 So here’s the reminder:�Don’t wait for happiness to find you.�
Create joy. Choose it. Practice it.

Have you ever wondered why some relationships are so hard to walk away from?

Sometimes it isn’t really about the person.�It’s about how the relationship felt in the beginning.

When you have ADHD, your brain is especially sensitive to novelty and intensity. 🧠�
And the start of a relationship can bring both — excitement, chemistry, unpredictability.

That early stage can feel electric.

But sometimes what keeps someone attached isn’t who the person is today.�
It’s the memory of those early moments… the hope of getting that feeling back.

In many cases, you’re not chasing the person.

You may be chasing the dopamine.

And recognizing that can be the first step toward making healthier choices for your heart. 💜

And this is where it can hinder someone with ADHD from seeing the whole relationship picture at once.

I often joke that I’m a cyborg 🤖—part machine, part woman 💪.�Technically, I think I fit the definition! I’ve been collecting fake joints and replacing parts in my body most of my life ⚙️🦿.�They keep this body moving, and for that—I’m grateful 🙏✨.
But here’s the thing… most of us collect, cast off, and refine parts of ourselves to keep moving through life 🌱💫.
Our alter egos are the shiny pieces we sometimes hide away—�Bruce Wayne had Batman 🦇, Tony Stark had Iron Man 🦾.
This Halloween, I pulled out my alter ego: the Cyborg—with a dash of Cyberpunk 💥⚡.
Bringing your alter ego out to play can be a lot of fun 😎… and it reminds you of all the incredible parts that make you, you. 💛

Spooky Season Tip:
Your biggest fear… 😨�is of something that cannot hurt you, and that you’ll always survive.
It’s not spiders, snakes, or the dark… 🕷️🐍🌑�It’s the fear of losing control.
The future. The unknown. 🤯�Fear of change. Fear of being left. Fear of not being loved. 💔
But here’s the truth:�👉 You can’t control the future.�👉 You can’t control the unknown.�And that’s OK.
Take my word for it—no matter what happens, you will survive it. 🙌�And sometimes… letting go of control actually feels pretty amazing. 🌈✨

Kids with ADHD can be so much fun! 🎉 They feel big and fast 🌟 and show us what it is to be alive.But vacation time can be a challenge. 😅What happens during these bumpy times? 🚧 Kids can get agitated, bristly, back talky, angry, or even tearful. 😡😢Some reasons vacation time can be a challenge include:�🎶 Too much stimulation - lights, music, or lots of people�🏡 New environments - Quickly adjusting to a relative’s home, a new town, or an ice exhibit�🔄 Making transitions - Moving from video games to Facetime with a relative, taking a shower, or leaving the house for an activity�⏰ Less routine and structure - From lazy mornings to sudden errands or trips�🍬 Off of normal diets - More sugar, food coloring, and additives can exacerbate ADHD symptomsTips to Manage ADHD During Breaks:📅 Make a schedule - Post a daily or weekly plan for structure�🗣️ Communicate clearly - Say out loud what just happened and what’s coming next�⏳ Use timers - Give warnings about transitions�🚗 Pack essentials - Keep noise-canceling headphones 🎧 or earplugs in your bag�🍎 Bring snacks - Have on-diet treats handy to avoid last-minute off-diet options🌟 Returning to school after a longer break can also bring its own rocky transitions 🏫, so be patient and plan for a little extra time to adjust.And remember...�It’s all good, and if it’s not, we’re gonna make it that way! 💪 Hang in there! 💕
