Wang is the CEO of Scale AI, a powerhouse data company that fuels giants like Meta and OpenAI. Now, Meta has acquired a 49% stake in Scale AI in a bold move to secure the future of artificial intelligence.

Late Thursday, Meta confirmed the deal in a statement:
“Meta has finalized our strategic partnership and investment in Scale AI. As part of this, we will deepen our collaboration on AI data development, and Alexandr Wang will join Meta to contribute to our superintelligence initiatives.”

The message is clear: If Meta couldn’t hire him, they’d partner with him—at any cost.

We had a fantastic time attending the 12th annual Thinking Digital Startup Competition (TDC2025) at Tuspark Newcastle Eagle Labs!

Events like these are a powerful reminder of the innovation, talent, and entrepreneurial spirit thriving in the UK tech ecosystem — especially here in the North East.

We didn’t pitch this time — but we showed up to connect, learn, and support the incredible talent and innovation on display. It was inspiring to see so many startups pushing boundaries and shaping the future of tech.

Here's a breakdown of 7 essential joins:

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀:

• 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻: Get records with matching values in both tables. This retrieves only rows with data in common.

𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀:

• 𝗟𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻: Show all records from the left table, along with any matching records from the right table.
• 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻: Opposite of a left join, this prioritizes the right table, showing all its records and any matching ones from the left.

𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀:
