The wreck happened at about 4:54 p.m. between a 2016 BMW K1600 motorcycle and a Ford 250 box truck, Utah Department of Public Safety authorities report. A 69-year-old man driving the motorcycle and his 70-year-old female passenger both died on impact when their motorcycle collided with the truck head-on. The driver of the box truck received minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital. The truck was traveling east along the highway near mile marker 136 when the collision occurred. One lane of the highway was closed for about five hours while the wreck was investigated.
