On Saturday, a lovely UPS delivery lady arrived with my post leg vise. This prompted a very exciting and wonderful conversation. I gave her a tour of the smithy, let her take pictures and she bragged about how she was going to make her sons jealous because they make her watch "Forged in Fire". This really made my day and had me grinning all day!
Sunday, I got the posts and made the stand for my leg vise. A very humid and hot day to work in the sun but I love how it turned out! I put some soft jaws on it too. I can't wait to use it!

This beauty was taken to her forever home this week. This is a 10" K-tip chef knife with an "S" grind, convex bevels, black and blue lava G10 rock textured handle with hidden pins. It's made with 80CRV2 which is a high carbon, high vanadium content steel. Many firsts for me with this knife. A video on YouTube will be coming soon! https://youtube.com/

Sooo, while working on a knife, I turned my grinder on its side and killed it!
Fortunately it was a super easy fix.

Glued up some blue lava G10 scales to a black G10 liner.  Made 2 pair, one will go in a k-style 10” chef knife.  Not sur...

I got to do a little more forging today and made a tool rack for my anvil to hold my hammers. Tried to make a second but it broke when I tried to adjust it to fit... That's the rebar on the anvil. I also worked on a K style chef knife and that video will come out on my YouTube channel.
