A great Podcast talk with Jennifer Zhang who shot her feature film on an iPhone. Inspiring story about how she brought this film to life by herself. Link to interview here: https://filminterviews.podbean.com/
The Colorado film Commission is here to support film makers, animators, gamers and photographers from all over the country. As an aspiring filmmaker myself this is truly so empowering to come across communities like this. In order to persevere in making a successful film I'd like two personally study educational, or entertaining films to see the aspects and details that make them so successful in their genre. Recently I came across a 1993 film called Ruby in paradise and it's so impactful and educational with its themes that are implicitly displayed. While it’s important to note that the lead character, Ruby, is equally an introvert and ambitious, it’s important to takeaway that the audience sees a woman who is confined by her surroundings and her male relations, but consistently stays true to herself because she trusts that she’s capable. I would get your hands on this film out wherever you can find movies digitally. Here’s the trailer on youtube:
Film Director Ziad Doueiri talks to the Shoot it Now Podcast about his earlier work with Quentin Tarantino on Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. And about how he film Inhuman Resources with Eric Cantona playing the lead.

Introducing Hamilton Casting's brand new website!!!!

Such an amazing community of film lovers! Anyone who appreciates a good story of redemption should explore Steps, a movie about a man named Brian devoted to rescuing his life from a spiral of abuse and addiction. Years after Brian tears his family apart with his destructive behavior, he decides it is time to turn his life around, and his progress is immensely admirable. By the end of Brian's journey, I felt refreshed, renewed, and revitalized, so I encourage those interested to share my love for Steps by streaming it on Apple TV or Amazon. I am sure you will not regret your viewing! Excited to follow this page.
For those of you with Amazon Prime my second feature film, Solitary Way, is available to stream.

Hey everyone! Came across this page, and can't but share a film I just watched since everyone on here seems to be passionate about film. It's called "Ruby in Paradise," a 1993 independent classic by writer/director Victor Nunez. I first found out about it in an article on comingsoon.net announcing that it was being re-released this year. It had good press, so I decided to give it a watch. I'm glad I did, it was such a great film! It's about the journey of self discovery of a young woman named Ruby (portrayed by Ashley Judd). The film captures many of the hardships young adults face in life, and I loved the many themes throughout the story. Nunez's skills as a writer and director are very apparent in this film, it's no wonder it won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. I definitely recommend this film to anyone, and since it was just re-released you can find it on most major platforms like prime video or iTunes. I would love to hear what y'all think!
Hi, I am looking to see if anyone out there is willing to take me in as an intern even though it is winter. I am passionate about film making and have a desire to learn more. I have a YouTube channel so you can see some of my own work. :)
