Hundreds gathered in downtown Des Moines yesterday to voice their concerns on the detention of Des Moines Public Schools superintendent Dr. Ian Roberts.

Teachers, students, and hundreds of the Des Moines and central Iowa communities concerned over Friday's detainment of Des Moines Public School superintendent Dr. Ian Roberts gathered at the Neal Smith Federal Building in downtown Des Moines Friday afternoon to voice their dissent.

Last week I shot some environmental portraits with Coco, a sweet Chihuahua, at Scenic Route Bakery in Des Moines. It was storming that morning so the atmosphere was a little unsettling for her, but once the familiar smells of pain au chocolat and doggy treats found her nose she began to settle down and we made some pretty fun portraits.
