Leaked texts from inside the Lahn campaign show the Lahn campaign learned of Derek Wulf's serious legal and financial problems seemingly AFTER they picked him as Zach Lahn's lieutenant governor/running mate.

The texts imply the campaign considered replacing Derek Wulf with Bobby Kaufmann just 3 days after picking Wulf and 2 days after nominating him at the GOP state convention.

To summarize:

- an LLC formed ONE WEEK after Zach Lahn tapped Derek Wulf as his running mate, loaned Derek Wulf $540,000

- the company, University Relocation LLC, is based in Moline, Illinois

- Davenport attorney Richard Davidson set up the LLC for a "private family that doesn't want to be named". Davidson has donated to Zach Lahn's gubernatorial campaign.

- Derek Wulf used the $540k to clear court-ordered debts to tune of $182k to Four County Pig Placement, $149k to Heartland Co-Op, and $139k to New Century FS (he still owes $3.1 million)

- Iowa's ethics board cannot judge whether the $540k loan is legal without knowing the lender

- This is SO dirty
