The fear that keeps so many of us doing EVERYTHING ourselves 😅
"But what if they don't sound like me?" "What if clients can tell it's not me writing?" "What if my brand voice gets totally lost?"
Y'all, I used to rewrite EVERYTHING my contractors did because I was terrified it didn't sound like "me." Plot twist: I was burning myself out trying to be the voice of every single piece of content.
Here's what I learned about delegation without losing your soul:
✨ Your brand voice isn't YOU—it's a system
Create a voice guide with actual examples, not just "be friendly and professional"
✨ Start with low-stakes content
Let them handle social media captions before client proposals
✨ Give feedback like you're teaching, not editing
"This feels a bit formal for us—we usually say X instead of Y"
✨ Trust the process (and your people)
The right contractors WANT to nail your voice—help them succeed
The game-changer? My copywriter now writes emails that clients think I wrote, and my VA responds to DMs so seamlessly that people ask if she's me 😂
Real talk: You can't scale if everything has to sound exactly like you had a personal conversation with every single person. But you CAN train people to represent your brand beautifully.
Anyone else struggle with this? Drop a 🙋♀️ if you've ever rewritten something because "it didn't sound right"—we've ALL been there!
