R.I.P. George Foreman.

Aside from being a boxing legend (and being known for his George Foreman Grill), during the 1993-1994 television season he starred in a short lived sitcom on ABC called George. Produced by Tony Danza, he played a retired boxer who ran an after school program for kids. I recall watching a few episodes of this show as a child and I enjoyed it.

Classic film from Keenan Ivory Wayans....

"I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" (1988) is a legendary Blaxploitation parody and comedy that I consider an essential part of Black filmmaking. Keenen Ivory Wayans was brilliant in putting together this film, which features an incredible cast, including action stars from the Blaxploitation era (1970s black movies). Every scene was thoughtful in its comedy approach, and there are so many minor details that you catch something new every time you watch it, which makes it funnier. It has so many quotes and memorable scenes that it's become a timeless classic decades later. I highly recommend this film if you haven't seen it.

Storyline
Jack Spade (Keenen Ivory Wayans) comes home to the ghetto and finds his brother dead from a gold chain overdose. With the help of his hero, John Slade (Bernie Casey), and a team of washed-up crime fighters, Spade declares vengeance on Mr. Big (John Vernon), the white crime leader responsible for selling gold chains on the streets. But Spade realizes that he must take matters into his own hands to finish the job in this zany spoof of 1970s blaxploitation films.

I’m Marc “Sonic” White, the owner of Outer Drive Films. Born and raised in Detroit, MI and I’m U.S. Navy veteran.

I started Outer Drive Films as a way to express my creativity and put myself out there. I want to offer the world something fresh and different that resonates.
