I just want to say THANK YOU to my amazing RCA and @UneekCollection team that never ever disappoints me, EVER.

I’ve been rocking with @moeuneek and @willpeay since High School, and Kirk and @lowsimmons since 2006. @esp_images_ since 2010, and the connection runs deep for everyone else as well.

This post is to let you all know how important you are. How much I appreciate you and what you’ve contributed to the brands in the past, present and future.

Let’s be honest.

I hear you talk about not having time. I hear you talk about not knowing how to use tools.
I hear you saying social media just isn’t your thing.

I think there’s more to it.

I think the issues are much deeper.

Can we have a conversation about some other things that may be impacting your ability to create content? To have the conversation it will take a level of vulnerability.

I’m a Barber turned, brand strategist and I’ve managed to build two multiple 6 figure businesses over the course of 14 years as an entrepreneur. I now love investing and understanding what many call the “money game”.

Life changed for me when my dad died in 2014. My conversations and experiences with him in the times of him being at his worse physically, but mentally being in the most happy place, basically altered my entire existence. I was 34. Additionally, my dads funeral had probably 1000 people attend. All of whom he did not meet until he was 35.

It told me that I had a lot to do and it inspired a new version of myself that I’m still currently exploring and getting to know.

I’ve set a few goals for myself :

-Scaling RCA and being able to create new and more concentrated areas of focus for specific client needs.

-Finishing My Book this year.

- Cresting Branded Communities that resonate with you on deeper level than your normal platforms because of your intentionality in the content being provided is what that audience is looking for. Which is what the Yellow Room is about ...

This isn’t a flex 💪🏾 by any means.

This is an attempt to slow 🐢 you down to realize how much of marathon 🏃 🏃‍♀️ this is and not a sprint.

June 1 will mark 17 years for me as an entrepreneur. 12 of which was spent learning every part of business from customer and client interactions and how to nurture relationships, to grass roots activations that create buzz and general brand awareness. Haircut , haircut, read, research, haircut, haircut, haircut, research and read some more. 8am - 8pm , 6 and some times 7 days a week, I spent squeezing my days for every ounce of insight so I could try it on the brands I was building quietly, as well as the ones that was out in the forefront.

My successes are cool but it’s my failures, earned in a real world environment with no do - overs, that made me who I am.

Its patience, consistency and how you respond to adversity that defines you. This portfolio is a constant reminder of the power of an idea, when it’s injected with your own unique personality, a genuine concern for people and consistency.

💡 Everything that makes us different is our competitive advantage.

Soon I’ll be slowing down and putting my attention into other things that won’t involve social media, but while I’m here, I’m going to give you everything I have that might help.

It’s time. 🕰 Double down on yourself, and let NOTHING stop you.

You see “content challenge”, and probably think about creating and posting photos, videos, captions for 30 days straight.

Here’s how I think about it. I see content as seeds. Every time you post your planting a seed. Every time you post you’re watering seeds that were previously planted and planting more. Once those seeds blossom, you’re taking them from the ground and placing them in the pot they belong in.

Unfortunately, seeds don’t grow over night. It takes a time. Consistent nurturing, if you want that seed to reach it’s fullest potential.

If you truly understand this analogy, then you understand that all seeds just don’t work out, so we need to plant as any as possible because variables out of our control has to be considered.

Once this idea sinks in that THE AMOUNT OF CONTENT YOU PUT OUT CONSISTENTLY IS IN DIRECT CORRELATION WITH THE RESULTS YOU WANT FOR YOUR BRAND. The game changes.

The 30 Day Content Creation Challenge starts tomorrow with a virtual meet up to get everyone on the same page with all the details! June 1st will kick off a fun interactive month of creating intentional and well thought out content that will help us attract and communicate with our ideal audience.

This 30 day challenge will consist of a commitment to post on different platforms using different tools with in the platform every day.

The challenge will force you to step out of your comfort zone and do things that you might not typically do so that you can measure effectiveness and see what you're audience responds too.

You'll be provided with a bundle of resources to help you.

Most importantly, you'll have a schedule with instructions for every day of the month!

Monday might include going LIVE on Facebook and on Instagram. Tuesday you might be asked to find your favorite picture of yourself and write a caption celebrating your wins. Wednesday might be a request to share your most embarrassing story while tying your brand into the post. Thursday might make you a reel and a guide on IG.

Don't worry, RCA will be with you the entire way. We'll host weekly meetings on Wednesday at 12pm to entertain and answer questions about your content plan. You'll also get to hear from others who are experiencing success or have questions.

This is an exercise in accountability and consistency.

When the month is over, you will have hopefully accomplished several of these things:

Never forget.

Sometimes you have to remove the idea that everything will be perfect, and just keep the momentum and the consistency around the brand moving forward.
