Ford just opened a new building on its Research and Engineering Campus in Dearborn, part of a multi year redevelopment totaling more than 2 million square feet. The updated campus brings engineering, design, and innovation teams together in a modern, collaborative workspace.

The new space blends open work areas, lounge seating, immersive design environments, and large windows facing The Henry Ford. It’s part of Ford’s long term plan to support innovation and attract top talent to Metro Detroit.

Bedrock and General Motors have shared a proposed 1.6 billion dollar plan to reshape the Renaissance Center and the surrounding riverfront.

The vision includes new public plazas, pedestrian walkways, and improved access from downtown to the water.

Early plans also mention removing the base podium and eventually taking down two of the river facing towers, while converting the remaining buildings for mixed use.

Feed The City Sundays is hosting Bless the Block, a community event focused on food, love, and giving back.

They’re collecting donations to help provide Thanksgiving meals for Detroit families and are asking for turkey dinners, baked chicken, ham, desserts, coats, hats, gloves, and socks. Volunteers are also welcome.

Saksey’s is located off Parker’s Alley, tucked beneath Gilly’s Clubhouse. The lounge pays tribute to the original Saksey’s, a neighborhood spot once owned by Dan Gilbert’s father.
