Five years ago, one of our favorite acts The Foreign Exchange released their 5th studio album "Tales from the Land of Milk & Honey." They have been one of the most influential, consistent, and prolific bands whose music we have had the privilege of bumping from the very beginning. Their artistry is only eclipsed by their humanity. Each release is more than music - they are artistic statements put to the sounds and rhythm of life. Salute!

WDET Needs Your Help. Learn Why From General Manager Mary Zatina.

WE NEED YOUR HELP: The economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically altered the way NPR (National Public Radio) stations (like WDET 101.9FM) operate to cover the production of local shows. This has called for outside-the-box thinking. WDET needs your help. Please listen to this clip of Mary Zatina, WDET ‘s General Manager, as she details how the station has been financially impacted by the loss of $$$ due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our events that generate revenue all were cancelled. Some of our listeners are really struggling,” says Zatina. Membership has also reflected the hardship many WDET’s listeners and readers are facing, with 8% of listeners financial supporting the station.

Zatina says transparency is a core value of a public radio station. That’s why we’re being upfront with you — our loyal listeners and readers — about where the station is at during this challenging time.

We need new member donations, businesses and individuals to underwrite shows and our sustaining members to continue to support!

FULL CLIP BELOW.

Chris Campbell you rocking it tonight!
That Prince segment💜💜💜 Thank you, good sir
Lady the tramp at 8 is ready already!
There was a song that played on your show tonight on the date of 5/12/19 at the 37-40 minute mark called love to hate by kors or Korsh and it was a very deep house melodic song and Cambeaux said that it was an progressive underground exclusive. If I could get a correct name of the song and track title that would be awesome. I listened to it probably 5 times trying to get the artists name right and nothing I can think of is right. Please help I love this show so much I’ve been tuning in for years I even remember the show alpha that WDET used to have and every weekend I tune in!!¡!
