Started by Satta Don as a beat night focused on spotlighting local talent that became widely known which evolved into a cassette label then a interactive workshop at The Detroit Institute of Music Education. Most recently it’s latest incarnation is back to the basic ingredients making it so special in the first place just a plain old fashioned beat night in Detroit’s beloved Eastern Market.
